With the help of its immigration programs, Ontario issues invitations under three programs: the Human Capital Priorities Stream, the French-speaking Skilled Worker Stream, and the Skilled Trades Stream. On April 26, 2022, Ontario issued 1,034 invitations to immigrate to Canada through its Express Entry program in the most massive of the year. Similarly, on April 28, 2022, Ontario again issued 301 more invitations under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream, bringing the total number of invitations to 1,335 in three days.
Regarding the April 26 lottery of the Express Entry program, candidates of CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score range was from 330 to 461, and in the April 28 lottery, something between 460 and 467. To be eligible candidates, they had to submit their profile 12 months before the lottery. In general, we can expect that Ontario may be able to follow the same process as 2021 in 2022.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
In this provincial Express Entry program, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) regularly review the files to select applicants who can meet the requirements of one of Ontario’s Express Entry programs. If your profile meets the required conditions, you can receive an invitation through your online immigration, asylum, and citizenship account. But remember that receiving an invitation means you are eligible for one of the programs.
If you have received an invitation to the Express Entry Ontario program and are eligible, you can submit an online application to OINP once you have received it. You must send your request within 45 calendar days after receiving the invitation.
