Applicants need to know the reasons for a study permit application rejection after acceptance to a Canadian educational institution (university, college, or other accredited institution).
Reasons for Rejecting the Study Permit Application
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), in most cases, informs demandants with a letter that includes the reasons for their application rejection. Failure of the applicant to prove any of the following will result in IRCC rejecting the study permit application:
- Providing Proof of financial means when paying for Living Expenses while studying in Canada
- Providing a Health and Wellness Certificate
- Convincing the Immigration Officer that the Applicant’s Purpose in coming to Canada is to study
- Convincing the Immigration Officer that the applicant will leave Canada after Completing the Course of Study.
Depending on the reason for rejection, applicants can do one of the following:
- Check the stated reasons for Rejecting the Application, and after solving it, register a new application.
- To review the Request and make the right decision, consult a lawyer.
Appeals for rejected Applications
The rejection of the study permit application may be because the applicant did not meet one or more significant criteria for the approval of the application. If the applicant can prove that he meets all the conditions, he can file an appeal with the Federal Court of Canada. Requests for judicial review must be written by a lawyer and submitted to the court by the applicant for a study permit.
