To be eligible to study in Canada, students must:
- Be accepted by an accredited educational Institution in Canada.
- Prove that they can pay the Expenses such as Tuition Fees, Living Expenses for themselves and their accompanying Family Members, and the Cost of Transportation to and from the Country.
- Prove that they are Law-Abiding Citizens with no criminal record and are not a threat to Canada’s security; they must provide a Certificate of no harmful Background.
- To demonstrate that they are in good Health, they must complete medical Examinations and provide a health and Wellness Certificate.
- They must convince the Immigration Officer that they will leave Canada at the End of the Period of Authorized Stay.
Exceptions exist for foreign ambassadors and their family members in Canada, members of the armed forces from certain countries, registered foreign nationals with Indian citizenship, and those wishing to study in Canada for a short period (less than six months).
