Located in east-central Canada, Ontario is the most populous province with about 14 million people and the second largest province with an area of \u200b\u200b1.076 million square kilometers. Ottawa – the center of Ontario – and Toronto – the most populous city in Canada – are located there. Ontario shares a 2,700 km border with America (Michigan, Ohio, New York, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania) from the south, is bordered by Manitoba from the west, James and Hudson bays from the north, and Quebec from the east.<\/p>\n

\"\"Cost of Living in Ontario<\/span><\/b><\/h5>\n

Although the cost of living in Ontario is high, on the other hand, its minimum wage of $14 is the highest minimum wage in Canada. Immigrants choose Ontario more because of its cleanliness, safety, and high-quality public services. Although Ontario has high taxes and costs of living, its high salaries ensure that its residents have one of the highest quality of life ratings in the world.<\/p>\n

Economy<\/b><\/span><\/h5>\n

In many ways, Ontario is the hub of most activity in Canada and offers significant economic, social, and political opportunities. The federal government is the largest employer in Ontario. Ontario has a diverse economy, and its main exports are automobiles, machinery, and electrical parts; Most car brands such as Chrysler, Ford, and Honda originate from this province. Mining has been an important economic factor for more than 130 years and supplies more than 30 types of metals and minerals to the world. With the creation of hydroelectric energy by the many rivers of this province, most of the country’s electricity originates from here.<\/p>\n

Southern Ontario, especially near the Ribeye Peninsula of Niagara, has fertile land that has led to the growth and production of small grains and fruit farming.<\/p>\n

Demographics<\/b><\/span><\/h5>\n

Ontario has the most diverse culture in Europe, and the majority of the population of this province is of English and European descent. While the average birth rate in Canada is less than 20 percent, it is more than 28 percent for the number of foreign-born people in the province, most of whom are Irish, Italian, and Scottish immigrants. Although 70% of the population speaks English, people throughout the state speak more than 100 languages. More than 50% of Ontario’s population is Protestant or Catholic, and nearly 23% have no religious affiliation, so there are many places of worship for all religions.<\/p>\n

From kindergarten to the end of high school, Ontario provides quality education with government funding for its residents. Among the top universities in this province, the University of Toronto is 18th in the world. Other prominent universities include the University of Ontario, the University of Ottawa, and Queen University.<\/p>\n
