Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) candidates must provide a minimum net worth of $600,000, invest at least $200,000 in an existing or new business, and create at least one full-time job for a Canadian citizen or resident. Also, British Columbia has kept its business category immigration programs active with its regional pilot and strategic projects.
Eligibility requirements for the BC Original Entrepreneurship Immigration Program
- Minimum personal and legal assets of $600,000;
- Investing at least 200,000$ in a qualifying new business or the purchase or improvement of an existing business in British Columbia;
- Creating at least one new full-time position for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident at your company;
- Obtaining a Language Certificate with a minimum score of 4 from CLB (Canadian Language Benchmarks): By the time of nomination, you must have the necessary preparation in each of the four skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English or French;
- Experience in Business or Management is required;
- Obtaining or being eligible for a lawful temporary immigration status to Canada;
- Have lived legally in the country where you currently reside.
BC Entrepreneurial Immigration Conditions – Regional Pilot Program
People who intend to immigrate to Canada under this program must meet the following conditions:
- Minimum Assets of $300,000 are required;
- A minimum of 100,000$ is required to invest in an eligible company;
- Having at least 51% of shares in the new company;
- Having a minimum Score of 4 from CLB in each of the four skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English or French;
- Offering at least one new full-time position to Canadian Citizens or permanent residents;
- Your Migration to the destination country should be an exploratory trip.
The Conditions of the areas in which you invest are as follows:
- Must have a Population of less than 75,000;
- This area is 30 km from a city with more than 75,000 Inhabitants;
- Demonstrating your ability to help Entrepreneurs through a Network of established organizations and support businesses.
